Dimensions Entertainment has started an annual Carnival Dance project and this year is no different, since it's first successful year in 2018. The project continues to grow in choreographic structure and talented dancers and now is a great time to join in. The carnival dance team and has structured a dance and activities programme for up to 60 people to participate in for 2025. This project is recommended for 10 years old and above, but will younger members will be accepted if they have experience in dance and are able to pick up routines quickly. We have places available for new members to join in now with the team until the end of Jun 2025. The project trains participants through the year, improving stamina, confidence and performance skills, introducing all participants to this new cultural dance styles mixed with traditional dances leading you the foundation to Caribbean dance (New and traditional), costume, makeup sessions and parade choreography. This is a Year –long project where events planned for the team to perform at throughout the year at such event as UKON children's Celebration, London Marathon, Hackney Main Carnival to name a few, which means this project takes reliability and commitment by dancers who must also adhere to set rules. Project membership costs £70, £60 for additional friends and family members for the year, all expenses are subsidised for such as uniforms, costumes and travel to events plus more, are funded by the Arts Council. (Events outside of London may have a charge for accommodation and/ or travel) Classes will be on Wednesdays 6.30pm (Term time), unless stated otherwise.
